Pride performances and creative family programming
WELCOME TO THE PRIDE FAMILY RAINBOW PARTY!
In addition to queer and trans musicians, we are also music therapists, early childhood educators, and arts accessibility specialists. Beyond fun and interactive, our concerts and programming include themes of self-expression, inclusion, allyship, and a wide range of social and emotional skills.
SUPER GROUP CONCERT: Fun, interactive Pride concert featuring nationally acclaimed family musicians Ants on a Log, Strawbitty Yops, Lavender Blues, and Esther Crow.
Pride Dance Party: Kids dance party with rainbow dance ribbons for all ages!
Pride Puppet Crafts: Make your own Pride Puppet, led by members of Strawbitty Yops and Esther Crow.
Rainbow Storytime: Identity-affirming books for children read aloud led by members of the collective, with engaging interactive discussion following.
Hip Hop Bunnies Music Class for Littles: Sing and dance with NY’s own Lavender Blues!
Pride Flag Art Activity: Kids will learn about the history of various Pride Flags and make their own flag representing personal pride.
Rainbow Party Variety Show: Kids are invited to share their rainbow-themed song, dance, art, magic, and beyond! Hosted by children’s bands Ants on a Log and Strawbitty Yops!
Rainbow Runway + Dance Party: Kids are invited to walk the Rainbow Runway, while an adoring audience cheers you on with Pride and positivity! Whether you walk the runway or cheer from the audience, come in clothing that makes you feel like YOU! After the runway show, stick around for a Pride dance party! Hosted by Ants on a Log and the Strawbitty Yops, featuring DJ Rhythm!
Rainbow Seekers: A Pride Show for Everyone!
During Ants on a Log's interactive family musical, kids learn Rainbow Seeker Superpowers, which are themed around self-expression, social-emotional skills, and community building. After the show, kids get to practice their superpowers at post-show activity stations, and then receive an official Rainbow Seekers badge for practicing their new skills. The show includes a backdrop that magically reveals rainbow colors as the kids learn and interact with each song. Featuring Ants on a Log's signature mix of humor and harmony, Sing the Rainbow is a delight for kids and adults, and recently won a "Fringie" fan favorite award during the 2023 Philly Fringe Festival.
