ALBUM HIGHLIGHTS:

Ants on a Log’s third full-length album “Make it Myself” is full of clever songs encouraging children to think creatively about the challenges they can take on themselves. The songs ask questions like, what can we make instead of buy? How can we grow our emotional skills? Who can we stand up for?

The album’s title track “Make it Myself” which empowers kids to think about what food and toys they can make themselves with their own materials and skills. The song reflects themes that run through the entire album: self-sufficiency, creating something great from what you already have, and inventing your own screen-free fun!

Written by Julie Be, arranged and performed by Ants on a Log (Julie Be and Anya Rose). Julie Be (guitar and vocals), Anya Rose (vocals), Laura Foxx (saxophone, clarinet), Miles Crabtree (drums), additional instruments and vocals by Dean Jones. Recorded by Julie Be, Lucy Kalantari, and Dean Jones.

“Waiting in Line” reminds kids that they have the power to create their own fun and the ability to choose connection instead of boredom, impatience, or frustration. The silly and upbeat song delivers concrete skills to make waiting in line a better experience for kids of all ages (and adults too!)
